What started as a normal climb during Alpine's opening mountain scene ended up as an adventure that took him well out of his natural element...
After each move of the figure, I have to check the computer to make sure I am maintaining the movement as well as the focus and lighting. So when I turned away, Alpine had disappeared!
Now I must point out that I was shooting this on a balcony three stories above a lake. And when I went over to see where he ended up, to my horror, he was floating in the lake.

What ensued was a frantic rescue in a kayak...
I was also able to rescue all of Alpine's gear which by a miracle landed in a very shallow area nestled securely between two rocks, and his pick was still attached to his backpack! Talk about lucky.

And here is a preview of Alpine's escape from Cobra Island. It is the counter point to this very tranquil opening scene, albeit without the fish.
To be continued...
